Storing baby food

Have any of you used these before? Here's the link.

I love making baby food and keeping it in ice cube trays in the freezer, but I don't like leaving it uncovered and feel like a lid would be more efficient than plastic.

Thoughts?

I just keep mine in an ice cube tray long enough to freeze solid, then I pop out the cubes and store them in freezer-safe tupperware.

Well that makes sense! Why didn't I think of that? Thanks!

I was going to say how nifty those lids would be, and then saw Crystal's comment and clocked myself on the side of the had. Der!

I bought some of those from Babies R Us, I don't remember the brand though. I like them but Oliver is eating enough food now that I have to use 6 of those servings for one meal. I've just started buying baby bowls with lids and filling up those and freezing them. Though it's nice to have the trays if he finishes off a bowl and still wants more. Then I just pop one or two out and heat them up.

I do what Crystal does, freeze them then pop them out. I didn't know if my ice cube trays were safe plastic so I didn't want to keep the baby food in them for longer than necessary. And when Joseph was just starting solids I used those little glass jam jars to store his baby food in because I am that paranoid about plastics. :)

I have one similar to that from Tupperware. I LOVED it when I was making babyfood, because you didn't have to worry about things dripping out and making a mess when you stuck it in the freezer.
I also then popped them out and stored them in ziplocs so that I could make several different types and stock pile in the freezer.

Yeah, I have a thought: that's really creative! I'm glad I have such smart older sisters who get to learn things before me. :D
