I've lost count. I think this is "hair episode" 3 or 4. Heidi found scissors...again. I thought she was over it, being 5 and months having passed since last time. Obviously I was wrong. Here's Esther "pre-haircut".

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a picture of Esther hair before I fixed the damage. Although actually, I didn't have to do a whole lot fix it! Heidi did a pretty good job. There are some bits that are uneven but they're hard to see. And after I cut off the obviously too long parts, here's what we ended up with.

And guess what? I love Esther's new haircut!
Too bad I can't exactly thank Heidi...

I remember that when I was growing up there were dolls with hair you could cut and style and it would keep growing? I did some searching but couldn't find anything like that anymore. I did however, find these hilarious grass heads.
Eggheads - kind of weird lookin'

Much cuter. I think we could try making some of these.

Lish and I noticed the hair cut in Sacrament yesterday. Then Lish said, "How are Heidi's bangs looking these days." I did not know that Heidi had cut Esther's hair. That's too funny!

The new haircut is great!! I'm so impressed. Way to make lemonade out of a potential lemon. :-)

We've had that problem with Catherine and she's been told that she will get a boy haircut the next time she cuts her sisters hair AND she'll have to stay at grandma & grandpa house the next time we go to Disneyland. So far, we haven't had a problem with it since. Not even a doll has had their hair cut. Megan's hair just had big chunks taken out of it. Thank goodness it was kind of fixable.

we made my mom some of those grass heads for mothers day 2 years ago. She keeps them on her kitchen counter. They are so fun because the grass grows so quickly that every few weeks we give them all different funky hair cuts!

I'm so afraid to say it out loud and jinx myself, but we haven't had any scissor incidents YET...but I did just read a Junie B. Jones book where she tries to be a hair dresser, and now suddenly I've noticed the kids eyeing out my scissors in a funny way. Note to any moms out there: avoid that book...

By the way, I'm not sure if you've talked to your folks yet, but I guess they picked Sa up for church on Sunday and i asked him why he didn't call me monday night and he said it was because he was at their house for FHE! How neat is that???

Molly, I know! So crazy huh? My mom even said they have some pictures to download from their camera that Sa wants them to email to you. And now that I've heard of someone who's ACTUALLY made the grassheads, I'm more excited to give it a try! I think all of my girls would enjoy giving them funky do's. :)

Wow! She's a prodigy! How are the other hairy things in your home..you know, like barbies, furry friends and stuff?

Trishelle, strangely enough, the dolls seemed to have made it out okay. I do remember that one of her "stuffies" has shorter giraffe hair (the cousin to yours from Build-a-Bear) but that happened several months back. :) Ah, the casualties of childhood.

Esther's new hair is pretty cute, I think this must happen at least once in every family. My niece chopped her four year old cousin's waist length hair to her chin!

How cute!! It definitely makes for fun conversation at the Thanksgivings home from college. I'm sure with four girls, you'll have many more stories like this to tell :D

Congratulations on having another girl!!! That's super exciting!! And Germany! I'm REALLY happy for you all!! You thrive where ever you go!!

Those dolls seem like a great idea! You sure have had you fair share of child initiated hair cuts! Luckily we haven't had and incident yet.
